Nick Opie
Born and raised in Armidale, NSW, Nick discovered his passion for cabinet making early in his career. After completing his apprenticeship with a small family-owned business, he moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2009 and expanded his skills in large-scale cabinetry production. His expertise in CAD design allows clients to visualize their dream kitchens before they come to life, ensuring every detail is just right.
With experience managing commercial and high-end residential projects across Queensland, Nick brings a sharp eye for precision and design. After running his own successful cabinetry business for over two years, he co-founded KO Cabinetry to offer a seamless, client-first experience from concept to completion.

Kayle Hern
Kayle’s journey in cabinet making began straight out of school with an apprenticeship at a family-run business. After moving to the Sunshine Coast, he met Nick, and the two quickly became close friends. While Nick specialized in CAD design, Kayle honed his skills in contract installations, ensuring that every project was completed with flawless execution and attention to detail.
From coordinating large commercial joinery projects to leading residential installations, Kayle’s expertise in on-site execution and team management ensures every KO Cabinetry project is delivered with the highest level of craftsmanship and care. His passion lies in bringing high-end designs to life in real homes, ensuring homeowners get cabinetry that is both functional and beautifully finished.
